John comes from a long line of accountants as he is the 4th generation of his family to own the firm when he purchased it from his father, Joe Emshwiller, and his uncle, Ned Emshwiller, on October 6, 2006. He was born and raised in Bluffton and enjoys working and living in the community. He is married to Donna, who is the Health Care Administrator at Christian Care and has two children Lucas and Rachel (Alex Fiock).

Nicholas L Scheer, EA

Vice President and Treasurer of Emshwiller Scheer Accountancy Co Inc D/B/A Emshwiller & Emshwiller

Nick was born and raised in Huntington, IN.  He is married to Kristy and has three children: Stella, Sophia, and Mylee.  He graduated from IPFW in 2005 and was accepted and completed courses through the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington.  His past work experiences include working as an estimator/shop floor analytics for Mignone Communications and an accountant for Triple Crown Services.

Education:

Bachelor in Accounting with a minor in communications from IPFW after spending 2 ½ years at IU Bloomington.  He has also completed several additional courses in organizational leadership and management.

Cory R Reckard, CPA, CAP

Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy

Cory is married to Teresa, who is also a co-owner of Reckard CPA Group, and has three children, Coleton, Jared, & Kara.  Cory is the founder of Reckard CPA Group, which is a collaboration of individuals including CPAs, Attorneys, and Investment Professionals which help to bridge the gap between clients and their professional advisors. Beginning in 1992, he worked for a Fortune 500 Corporation in Financial Reporting and then entered the public accounting area where he prepared individual & business tax returns, business audits, and financial statements.

Since 2000, Cory has had insurance and securities licensing.  His primary focus has been in the insurance and investment area, resulting in memberships in organizations such as Guardian Leaders Club, Million Dollar Round Table Court of the Table & Top of the Table, and The Forum 400.   He has also been involved with the March of Dimes and has obtained his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation.

Colin was born & raised in Bluffton, Indiana. He graduated from Ball State University in 2014. He worked part-time for the City of Bluffton Parks Department before joining Emshwiller & Emshwiller.
